I would like to know if everyone will turn off the water valve connected to a handheld shower with an on/off Pause after taking a bath. If you need some time to check, it means that you are not sure about this issue.
When we refer to the general handheld shower without on/off pause switch, it doesn’t have this type of question. Because we will turn off the water valve connected to the shower hose directly. But will you shut off your water valve when you use a handheld shower with an on/off pause after taking a bath? Or we can ask this question: Is it necessary to do it since the handheld shower already is shut off? To answer this question, we need to be clear about the below things.
1. Handheld shower heads/sprayers with on/off pause can be resistant to high pressure.
There are 2 general types of the handheld shower head in the market. One is a regular shower head without an on/off pause switch. The other new one is with this switch. But this new one needs to be resistant to high pressure to avoid the leakage problem. Because there is a higher water pressure in the shower head and shower hose when we turn off switch. To ensure safe use, it is recommended to check the handheld shower head whether or not be resistant to high pressure.
2. Shower hose/flexible hose also can be resistant to high pressure.
Actually,the water pressure for the handheld shower head/bidet need to resistant is similar with the faucets have.Faucets usually uses braided hose which can be resistant to high water pressure.Handheld shower head/bidet generally uses shower hose without braiding and is not resistant to high water pressure.It means that there is a potential rist of leakage because of the unmatched sanitary part.
How can we avoid this potential risk?
Using braided hose for the handheld shower with on/off pause switch? It can be solved，but the appearance of braided hose seems not go with the shining shower head.There is a shower hose with a shining surface and braided inner hose,which can avoid the potential leaking risk but also ensure a bright appearance.
For the sake of safety, it is recommended to turn off the water valve to shower hose after taking a bath or using a shower hose enhanced with braided inner hose for the handheld shower head with on/off pause switch.
